Dear HR Director:

I have extensive experience in engineering, project management and business development both in the Civil and Environmental Engineering professions.  Due to my diverse expertise and technical excellence in both fields supplemented by my goal to exceed client’s expectations, I strongly feel I have a lot to contribute to your firm’s success in the long-term.

In summary, I have extensive experience in design and construction applied to water plants and distribution system, wastewater plants and collection system, pilot studies and development of innovative technologies, public works (drainage, roads), and environmental investigation and remediation.

I am looking forward to growing within a dynamic organization such as yours in the long term.  My objective is to diversify my skills while making a positive impact with my demonstrated technical excellence and team building for which I have received awards.

During my career, I have diligently acquired a diverse expertise in water and wastewater system analysis, design, construction and operation and maintenance plus environmental investigation, feasibility studies and remediation for municipal, state, federal and industrial clients combined with my extensive project management and public works experience as a City Engineer and Program Manager for Utilities.  My desire is to advance this expertise further while contributing to a growing firm in both the Civil and Environmental Fields.  I would be happy to meet with you to discuss the highlights of my career in the water, wastewater, public works (roads, drainage) and environmental remediation fields.

Just a few highlights of my career are noted below for your review:

  • Over the last 2 years I have brought in over $5M in roads, water and wastewater and drainage-erosion control projects through quality work and strategic business development.

  • I designed and constructed an emergency 36 inch sewer line adjacent to major gas, telephone and electrical lines over a major arterial road that collapsed in Waco due to a 400 x 800 ft sinkhole adjacent to Lake Waco.  The project was completed with my own utility staff performing the construction under my engineering oversight.  Some of these operators were transported by cranes and harnessed to the concrete bridge which we installed to span the sinkhole.  The pipeline project was completed by my own staff at 50% of the cost of contractor bids that I received.

  • I saved the City of Waco Utilities nearly $1M by using one of the four emergency generators to generate electricity from methane at the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) where we also produced soil conditioners from the anaerobic sludge.

  • A few years back, I saved the City of Waco from a WWTP capacity downgrading by performing a stress test and presenting the successful results to TCEQ.

  • I recently completed the design for expansion of a Water Treatment Plant from 6 to 12 MGD using an innovative biological filter in water treatment after successful pilot studies.

  • Very recently I supported proposal development for a wastewater treatment plant feasibility study project and won the project for which I am now the project manager.

  • Just a few months back, I developed an innovative technology in water and wastewater treatment and have applied for a patent.

  • I also have much experience in subdivision development and have worked in this field both as a City official and a developer’s engineer.

  • I was instrumental in having a General Electric Superfund Site removed from the NPL list based on my detailed studies and findings on naturally occurring contaminants in Posey County, Indiana.  The EPA reviewed my report and made the determination for delisting.

  • I received the Bechtel global technical grant for innovative technology in hazardous waste sludge minimization.

Please call me if you have any questions regarding my experience or capabilities.  I would be happy to provide you with a pdf file of reference letters from my supervisors.

I am looking forward to hearing from you,

Sincerely,

Daniel Christodoss
